Enjoy the river views, visit a heritage-listed site and hold an event at a park in Newstead.

Located along the Brisbane River, Newstead has 7 parks:

  • Gasometer Park
  • Morse Street Park
  • Newstead Park
  • Newstead Terrace Park
  • Ross Street Park
  • Waterfront Park
  • Wharf Park.

Enjoy a scenic stroll through a park or settle in for a day by the water.

Not sure which park to visit first? Picnic on the lawn, launch a boat and discover local history at Newstead Park. It's home to monuments, memorials and Brisbane’s oldest residence, Newstead House.

A short walk away, you’ll find Waterfront Park. Relax and take in the river views while your furry friend plays in the off-leash dog park.

Want to see Newstead after dark? Head to Gasometer Park, located within the heritage-listed Gasometer gas ring. At night, colourful lighting from the ring illuminates the park.

You can also access the popular Riverwalk from Newstead Park, Newstead Terrace Park and Wharf Park.
