Amendment of Permit Conditions Request an amendment to your dog, cat, racehorse or livestock permit. Make updates if there have been changes to your animal or property.
Animal Permit Application Apply for a dog or cat permit using the online form. You need a permit to keep more than 2 dogs or 3 cats at your property in Brisbane.
Application for a Permit to keep a Racehorse Apply for a permit to keep a racehorse. You need a permit if you don't already have authority to keep the horse under an existing development approval.
Application for the Keeping of Livestock in a Residential Area Apply for a permit to keep livestock in a residential area, including horses, poultry, cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, deer, emus, ostriches, peafowl and alpacas.
Cancel dog registration Cancel your dog registration online. Complete this form if your dog has passed away or is no longer living in the Brisbane local government area.
Change dog registration details Update dog registration details. This includes changes to your dog’s name or your phone number, address or payment details (for automatic renewals).
Dog Registration Tag Application Use the online form to request a replacement nylon dog tag. Council replaces lost, damaged or faulty tags free of charge for registered dogs.
Register a dog Register your dog using the online form. Have a credit card, your address and information about the dog on hand, including the microchip number.
Renew dog registration Renew your dog’s registration using the online form. Have your dog's name, a credit card and the reference number on your renewal notice on hand.
Transfer dog ownership Transfer a dog’s registration online. Complete the form if you’re selling or giving away your dog to a new owner in the Brisbane local government area.
Report it: Barking dog complaint Report a barking dog in your neighbourhood using the online form. Make sure you speak to the owner about the issue before making a complaint.
Animal noise nuisance diary Record animal noise disturbances in this diary to enable Council to assess and resolve your noise complaint. Track the noise for at least 7 days.
Animal registration refund request Request a refund of your dog registration if your dog passes away within 6 months of the registration period or no longer living in the council area.
